OFT LOGO NOT TO BE USED AFTER 31ST MARCH 2013
The DSA has now received formal notification from the OFT of the termination of its operation of the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. With effect from 31st March 2013, this terminates your right to use the OFT approved code logo.
Removal of the OFT logo by 31st March 2013
It is most important that you ensure that you do not use the OFT approved code logo after 31st March 2013. It must therefore be removed by that date from all of your:
Documents
Catalogues
CDs & DVDs (and their covers)
Websites
Any other locations where you (or your direct sellers) may have it.
Using the logo after 31st March 2013 will almost certainly be a criminal offence.
You should by the same date also remove any statement which says that the DSA Consumer Code has OFT approval.
A new version of the code approvals scheme?
It is expected that TSI (the Trading Standards Institute) will operate a replacement code approvals scheme from 1st April 2013. We have still to hear how such a new scheme will work - and what it will cost the DSA. So it is too early to say whether the DSA will engage in the planned new code approvals scheme. We expect to have a better idea before the end of 2012.

The DSA/OFT logo above may not be used after 31st March 2013
