This year's Annual Conference, held at East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham has received fantastic feedback from delegates and exhibitors, with some saying we had again topped last year and it was our best one yet!
Delegates had the opportunity to network with fellow DSA Members, catch up with our Suppliers at our Exhibition and find out all the latest industry updates.
The day was hosted by our fantastic DSA UK Chairman, Andy Smith, who ensured all of the different stage activities, such as our DSA Awards and presentations, ran smoothly. The day was kicked off by Nottingham's very own Robin Hood, who explained the history of Nottingham.
Presentations throughout the day included, a talk from Bob Parker at Forever Living about successes and challenges of rapid growth in the direct selling industry. The delegates then had the opportunity to attend one of our three workshops, which included Embracing Growth by Simon Bowler at JuicePlus and Nancy Cruickshank at MyShowcase. Running a successful event by Jo Cross at Mary Kay and Gavin Aley at Herbalife. Also Running a successful PR campaign in direct selling by CubanEight. Next up was our very own Director general of the DSA Lynda Mills, who gave delegates an industry update. The delegates then had a presentation from Kathleen Mitchell at Stella and Dot, discussing the digital revolution and how it works within our industry. Last up was Katrina Molin (director of Seldia) discussing the role of Seldia in the direct selling industry.
We celebrated the success of our members, with the return of our industry awards. Delegates were also treated to an outstanding presentation/talk from this years keynote speaker Shed Simove, performer, entrepreneur, comedian and author who left our delegates laughing and on there feet with a standing ovation.
Our delegates then danced the night away at our Black Tie Gala Dinner with the help of our fantastic evening band, Hipster.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day, to all of those who helped us make our Conference the tremendous event that it was and a huge congratulations to all of our award winners!
