In 1994 Dame Anita Roddick founded The Body Shop At Home™ to empower people to set up their own businesses, to support entrepreneurs to develop and grow multi-million-pound enterprises and to enable men and women of all ages and races to share the wonderful opportunities it offered.
The Body Shop At Home™ encourages people to set up their own businesses; whether they choose to build a growing business or hold a couple of parties a week to save for a special occasion. The Body Shop® was the first international cosmetics company to introduce fair trade to the cosmetics and toiletries industry in 1987. Through a unique Community Trade programme, we source fine raw ingredients and accessories from the four corners of the globe, with a commitment to trade fairly with small-scale farmers, traditional artisans and rural co-operatives that are experts in their field.
